Mark 3:13–15 (ESV) “And He went up on the mountain & called to Him those whom He desired, & they came to Him. And He appointed twelve (whom He also named apostles) so that they might be with Him & He might send them out to preach & have authority to cast out demons.”
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, & you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem & in all Judea & Samaria, & to the end of the earth.”
Matthew 10:32 “So everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 10:25 “It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, & the servant like his master.”
Following Jesus has a lot more to do than just being with Him, though nothing else follows until we are with Him. There are various evidences in the Scriptures that show us what it really means to follow Jesus. There is an ultimate outcome for all believers who truly follow Jesus, and if this outcome is not the result of our following Christ, then we need a deeper walk with Jesus.
