Gen 1:1 “In the beginning, God created the heavens & the earth.”

Heb 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”

Rom 1:20 “For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power & divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

Ps 19:1 “The Heavens declare the glory of God, & the sky above proclaims His handiwork.”

Ps 90:2 “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth & the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”

Job 36:26 “Behold, God is great, & we know Him not; the number of His years is unsearchable.”

Ps 102:27 “But You are the same, & your years have no end.”

Rev 1:8 “I am the Alpha & the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is & who was & who is to come, the Almighty.”

Heb 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists & that He rewards those who seek Him.”

Rom 1:18-23 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness & unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power & divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking, & their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, & exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man & birds & animals & reptiles.”

One of the most important doctrines of the Bible is the creation narrative; it is foundational truth stating that Yahweh is the creator of all things. God created everything out of nothing by His power. God’s math breaks all logic, i.e., in marriage, 1+1=1. In creation God + nothing = everything. Understanding creation through a biblical worldview is foundational for everything else we believe in the Bible. Genesis chapter 1 is critical; if it is not true, then why should any Christian believe the rest of the Bible? If we can’t believe in a creator who designed everything before there was space & time, how can we believe in a JUDGE at the end of time? Why would we need a Savior in the middle of the journey? The doctrine of creation reveals an Intelligent Designer; it magnifies God’s glory & points us to His amazing grace. When it comes to the doctrine of creation, there are only 2 options for human beings: we either accept this biblical account as true, or we reject it as a myth.
