Leaving Things Behind

Matt 4:20 “Immediately they left their nets & followed Him.”
Matt 4:22 “Immediately they left the boat & their father & followed Him.”
John 8:3-11 The scribes & the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, & placing her in the midst they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” This they said to test Him, that they might have some charge to bring against Him. Jesus bent down & wrote with His finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask Him, He stood up & said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” And once more He bent down & wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, & Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before Him. Jesus stood up & said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, & from now on sin no more.”
Strong message, It’s like pick up your cross and follow ME. When life leads you to meet Jesus thru life’s issues, and we hear and understand the life and responsibilities that are required, it’s making the decision to follow Him the way that we should. We all go thru issues that are many of times difficult, some are even life threatening. We Must trust in Him ALL the time because He and only HE has taken us out of bondage from the world and has us in Him, but there’s much more to grow in each of us. Converting from y the the world to Christ seems sometimes difficult because we don’t see that far into the future to secure safety, assurance etc. But trusting that Jesus has ALL in control and just like a child trusting his father that he will catch him, and not let him fall, will give us peace and understanding. Great word.
