This last part of commandment 7 deals with the heart of the issue: lust in the heart. To deal with behaviors that are distortions of God’s marital design, the root cause must be addressed, which is the heart. Jesus said: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matt 5:27-28, ESV). This sermon addresses the heart issue, and extends in the issue of homosexuality, polygamy, and polyamory.
