Ps 115:3 “Our God is in the heavens; He does all that He pleases.”
Ps 103:19 “The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, & His kingdom rules over all.”
Rev 19:6 “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters & like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, ‘Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.’”
Eph 1:11 “In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.”
Rom 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”
Rom 8:29 “For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.”
John 17:22 “The glory that You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one.”
Isa 52:14 (TLB) “They shall see My Servant beaten & bloodied, so disfigured one would scarcely know it was a person standing there.”
2 Cor 12:10 “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, & calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
In today’s world it’s easy to experience feelings of insecurity & fear. Yet, as Christians what is our position & where is our hope? That depends on our worldview. Are we seeing our situations the way the world sees them (media, Hollywood, Universities, High tech, etc.)? Or, do we see our situations thru the eyes of God? As Christians our hope is not in our government, or in our economy or world system; our hope is in the God of creation who is sovereign. God’s sovereignty is important for our state of mind. We gain comfort & strength from understanding that God is Sovereign.
