Two Kinds of Righteousness
June 14, 2020
Romans 10 outlines the basis of salvation, with strong emphasis on righteousness. There appears to have been two Scriptural views of righteousness – one that comes by good works (works righteousness) and the other that comes by believing God (faith righteousness). This is an old struggle and battle that continues to exists today. Many believe that by faith we are saved but by works we are kept; other’s believe by works we are saved but by faith we are kept. This sermon addresses the foundation of salvation, which is the doctrine of soteriology. Here is what we should leave the message with: Is it God who saves, or do we help Him? If it is God alone who saves, is their evidence of one’s salvation. Part 1 is the introduction, but these are the questions that the message should stir.
