And The People Shouted
April 5, 2020
When Jesus came riding into Jerusalem on a colt, the disciples & the crowd cried out with a loud voice, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven & glory in the highest!” (Luke 19:38). If you were in that crowd two thousand years ago, would you have been shouting with the crowd? I believe all Christians today would say yes. But some that were there took offense: (Luke 19:39) “And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, ‘Teacher, rebuke your disciples.’” They had a problem with the term Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Why? This sermon explores that question and the issue of “And The People Shouted.”
