Pastor Luis Vega

Pastor Vega has devoted nearly 37 years of his life to serving the LORD with unwavering dedication. His extensive experience encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and achievements within the realm of ministry:

– Designing and executing church programs and ministries.
– Developing and overseeing small groups, including training ministry leaders and facilitators.
– Providing assistance to other churches and pastors in establishing small group initiatives.
– Instructing in Christian alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs.
– Serving in various capacities, including as Associate Pastor and Lead Pastor, in local churches.
– Beginning in 2021, Pastor Vega embarked on a new endeavor as an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling curriculum at Trinity College of Florida.

Pastor Luis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies (Human Services), a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and is licensed with the State of Florida (LCSW). Additionally, he holds a Master’s Degree in Theology. His calling to lead Salem Baptist Church (now known as Church of The Way) dates back to 2007, and through collaborative efforts with key ministry leaders, he has overseen the transformation of the church grounds for the glory of God.

In 2016, Pastor Vega envisioned the establishment of Christian Education for Grades K to 12. This vision culminated in the establishment of a separate 501c3 organization, and with meticulous planning and dedicated staff, The Way Christian Academy was inaugurated. Since its inception, the school has maintained its commitment to excellence, providing effective and efficient education for students across the K-12 spectrum.
